My wife has a dependent open work permit valid till 1st Feb, 2019. She was in India when her old passport expired and she renewed and got the new passport in April 2018. The counterfoil visa (TRV) on her old passport expired based on the passport's expiry date (12th May, 2018).
Unfortunately we submitted the form for new open work permit instead of TRV. The paper application was submitted on 17th Aug, 2018 and as soon as we came to know about the wrong form submission, we sent a withdrawal request to CHC Delhi on 14th September, 2018.
It has been more than a month but CHC is not releasing the passports. We have sent withdrawal letters twice since then and have also sent multiple emails/CSE but got no response. We even called CHC Delhi and they mentioned that passport withdrawal should not take more than 7-10 working days.
Please help if anyone has any information regarding this situation.
