Hi Kabayan Tnx for your reply. Maybe it's still possible to go back here in SG as a tourist for passport submission. You may need to show all your documents to IO and tell them the reason is for you to get your visa by submitting your passport in canadian embassy here in SG. I just want to ask, if its possible to submit your passport in canadian embassy in phils instead to get your visa? I am not sure about this.

My case is different since I am PR here in sg and I dont have plans to withdraw my PR here in sg until I got PR in canada. And we do not have plans to go back to phils before our flight to canada (if we got our work permits) since we do not have any annual leave left.

Btw, did you submit your trv application together with your husband wp? or you applied alone? What date did you submit your trv?

Below is our timeline:

Aug 13 2014 - work permit application (LMIA exempted as per HR since my husband is under international mobility program). He will be transfer from SG site/studio to montreal site with same employer.

Oct 05 2014 - WP rejected. as per CIC, need LMIA. Thus the employer applied for LMIA.

Dec 03 2014 - LMIA approved.

Dec 16 2014 - resubmit work permit application with LMIA and CAQ (for quebec requirements)

Until now we are still waiting. Mine is open work permit and we applied our wp application together. You can apply for open work permit if your husband got a job under NOC 0, A, and B. Based on your husband's timeline, its indeed 3 months waiting before they request for additional docs. How long did your husband got police clearance here in SG? Goodluck to both of us! Hope we can go to canada soon.

Yes we submitted it all together last August 23, 2014, including our daughter's application.
For SG police clearance it will be released after 15 working days after submission of requirements.
Don't worry Kabayan have faith everything will be okay. We are in the same boat before and thanks God now we are just one step away =D that's why I'm also sharing our own timeline and experience because I know how it feels.

We are waiting for 3.5 months now and still got "open" status thru online application. Is it true that it will take 6 months now to process work permit here in SG? Does anyone also waiting to process their work permit? Please share. Thanks.

Hi Mabeh, congrats! yes its for stamping na. How long did you wait for your passport request/ doc request? Kindly share your timeline. Currently we are waiting for 4.5 months but still no update

Hi! May questions din ako. I recieved my LMIA November 2014 and was only able to pass my visa application on Feb 2015. Mag expire ang Lmia ko ng May 13. Do I have to ask for LmIa extension since wala pa rin result ang visa application ko?

nope you dont have to as long as you were able to pass your application with the LMIA then you should be fine. Like on my case I got my LMO on Oct 8, 2013 and passed the complete applcation by Oct. 10 and got my visa on Mar 2. My LMO expiry was Oct. 13

Im working as a nursing aide here in Singapore with work permit pass.. My visa na po ako under LICP, Nag resigned na po ako last may 11, allowed po ba ako mag exit dito sa sg go straight to canada po? Nag pabook po kasi employer ko sa Canada from sg to Canada on june 13 po..

Hi po, after 5 months waiting, finally they requested us to submit our police clearance. How many weeks we need to wait for passport request after we submitted our police clearance? We are planning to submit our COC and NBI this thursday (May 28). When do you think will be the passport request? I need this information to plan for resignation in my current company and also for HR to book our flight in advance. Thanks!

My spouse will be on open work permit while my kid will be under a student visa. All applied together online via immigration firm.

NBI clearance obtained in advance and submitted together with the application. Mayroon bang medical exam required for Singapore PR?

Waiting for 2 months and 1 week na po kami.

Anyone that has almost the same timeline specially the federal work permit application AOR? Please share.

Tanong ko po sna kapatid ko 6 years n xa jan sa Singapore as DH natapos xa ng high school LNG sa pinas pero nag aral jan sa Singapore ng 9 module which is equivalent to 4 years degree. Ngaun napakiusapan ko employer ko dto sa canada pra sponsoran kapatid ko under LICP ..any idea po kung valid ung school jan sa Singapore na maaproban kapatid ko? Please help..

After I submitted my COC and NBI I just had to wait 1 week if I am not mistaken then they requested for my passport already.

I think as long as your studies is related to what you are applying and the experience you have is what the job requires then it should be enough factors to be approved for the job. If you want to check the degree equivalency of what she took up in Singapore, you may want to visit www.wes,org.ca. I believe Canada have set new requirements for LCP. They have changed the education requirement from highschool to a two year post secondary.

thank you very much for replying. I guess ours was delayed once again and its getting frustrating since I already resigned in my job.. Been waiting for 11 days still no passport request. We thought only 7 days, that's why the HR wants me to resign in my current work once I submitted the police clearance. :'(
