Work Permit Application by Flagpoling for my Spouse who is in Canada on a Visit Visa

Kindly help clarify!!!

I am presently in Canada for almost 2 months now on a visitor visa and my wife is a PR. I am planning of flagpoling by end of the month.
I am doing the flagpoling with my wife and will put in for open work permit at the border. Can someone on a visit visa who is married to a PR apply for work permit at the border by flagpoling.

You can't apply for an open work permit at the border. Flagpoling is not possible for you.

To qualiy for an open work permit, your spouse must submit an inland spousal sponsorship application to sponsor you for PR. If you apply by mail / paper, then you can include an OWP application with the inland spousal sponsorship application. If you instead apply for spousal sponsorship online, then you must wait until you have received AOR before you can apply for the OWP.

Either way, flagpoling is not possible.
