work permit application at NY Office HELP!!!!

i sent my application via mail to the Consulate General of Canada in NY, i sent it the past april 13th!! and i haven't receive any information or status about my work permit application!! someone knows how much time it takes to receive my passport back!??? im living in Dallas right know, so if someones knows something about it let me know.

A strike is currently affecting visa offices. Unfortunately this means that normally processing times don't apply and it's difficult to say when you will receive your passport back.
