Work permits are generally only granted after you have your hearing.

So yes, you are eligible. But it may be quite a bit of a wait.

Truth is, no body knows and no one can guarantee it when you get the work permit. Some people got it after 2 months and some still waiting after one year of applying. Don't depend on it and move on until you get it.

Work permit is usually given after 2nd interview
They mail it to you and approximately takes 1-2 months
