Work more than 20 hours in a week during academic session

I am a international student. And i from asia. I heard that the canadian government give chances to international students for 20 hours week work permit. And I heard that also if i do some unofficial job like hand cash then can i do more than 20 hours per week. And i want to know this, How much true news it is? Plz help me out. Thanks in advance
