Does anyone know if you are allowed a 1 year Work Holiday Program (eligible to work) for Canada as well as a Study Permit (not eligible to work) at the same time?

Ok. But say, for example, I got the 1 year Work Abroad Visa in June 2011 but only used it until the start of September, when my study permit kicks in. Would the 1 yr work abroad visa be cancelled, or would I simply not be able to apply for both?

As soon as you got the study permit, the work permit would be invalid.
