Hello folks,
Regarding the section for work history, my wife's work history includes multiple (part-time) jobs simultaneously and also volunteer time on top of that. I know that you do not want any gaps in the history but what about overlaps? Does that cause confusion?

Example:

6/2017 - PRESENT: manager at company X
2/2017 - 6/2017: volunteer at company Y
10/2016 - 6/2017: assistant at company Z
4/2016 - 10/2016: studying at school W

Note how the 2nd item (volunteer) partially overlaps with the 3rd time period. It it better to list everything or simplify it and remove the volunteer position so that there is no overlap and just one clear continuous timeline?

Thanks

Overlaps are fine, gaps (if any) are a definite problem.

Yep...
I will write everything down, overlap should not be an issue. Just to be sure that there is no confusion, I'll add an brief explanation letter.

Overlaps are fine. Just ensure you present the information clearly, so that there is no confusion when the reader (immigration officer) reads your form.
