Hi guys,

When filling in previous work experience how many years do you go back? I have been working for 16 years in the service industry, so have had many jobs and cannot get reference letters and such from some of them, because either don't exist or all previous staff members no longer work there. For the last three years I have been working in kitchens and I went to college in Canada to study to be a chef so should I only put down my experience in kitchens?

Thanks

previous work experience can go back to last 10 years. All this needs to be mentioned in your "personal history section". Your foreign work experience will max out at 3 years (as per CRS). So you can decide which employer can give you a letter proving at least 3 years of your work
Also, you can claim points for your work experience in Canada. But i think your Canadian work experience will need to exclude the period of college in Canada

I have put all my employment from scotland and canada and any unemployment in my personal history section and I have my canadian work experience in my work history section. is this the correct way?
