You would only cover the duties/responsibilities of your occupation.

Hi all,
Does the immigration/IRCC verifies our whole employment history? My brother is applying under express entry and his previous company (worked 4 years back ) is closed. The company people are not responding for either email or phone. Will it be an issue?

Hi @DelPiero07 ,

1) I am having hard time to decide which NOC I should go with because my latest job in particular ( that I have declared in EE profile to claim points ) is a mix of software development and software testing and there is no way to pick maximum duties on the reference matching to one particular noc . Having trouble choosing between noc purely for software testing or noc purely for software development . In such a scenario what should be my approach ?

2) I tried reaching out to Canada government Dropbox to seek some guidance but they didn’t advice on a particular noc and just sent out some generic guidelines for choosing noc .

3) what percentage of job duties from noc should match on the Refernce letter ?

Please advice .

Thanks in advance.

Anyone?

They only carry out assessment for the work experience you are claiming for fsw program.

Rest you have to add in personal history section ,which doesnt required any document .

But yes ,in case , while assesment if they ask for that period, you simply prepare a detail loe to explain that this company is closed and attach whatever document you have ,such as joining letter anything.

Well it rarely happens ,but still we should be prepared for that too.

Conclusion- No need to contact the previous employer ,just focus on collecting the documents for the work experience you are claiming for points.

Hi @DelPiero07 ,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry to bother you again .

I have a question regarding the following situation and would really appreciate your response on this :

For Job 1 - I was hired by company A located in M city , but contracted at client company B in Y city.
After one year was again contracted to client C in Z city.

1) In the reference letter from company A ( who hired me and paid me ) , should the client company name and locations be mebtioned with the text saying “ she was contracted at client B and C companies” ?

2) Should two different entries be added in the work history and personal history in this case with locations Y city and Z city ?

Please advice.

Thanks

Hi @DelPiero07 ,

This is how I would've dealt with this:

I would've added the client companies in the work history/personal history sections instead of the company who hired you and include the name of the company that hired you under parenthesis. I would have included a reference letter from both the client and the company who hired you as well as a LOE to avoid confusion.

Hi @DelPiero07

Thanks for your response .

Obtaining letter from the client at this point is not possible as this is an old job . I only have reference letter from my employer. Shall I ask the employer to add client locations in the letter ?

Thanks

This is incorrect. OP's spouse is working in Canada so there is no continuity requirement under the CEC program nor is she required to have her one year of work experience under a single NOC.
Hello, we claimed points for my spouse’s 1 -year Canadian work experience. He holds OWP since I was a graduate student. To prove his experience, would the letter of experience + pay slips + T4 and notice of assessment be sufficient? What would you advise? Thank you

Hi @DelPiero07

Would getting the client locations on the Refernce letter from the employer help ?

Thanks
