Hi,
I'm interested in applying to live in Canada through the skilled worker. I currently work in the US and just graduated. However, due to the date when I got my job and my work permit expiration, I'll only get to work 10.2ish months. I see, though, that the skilled worker says I need a year. Is this flexible in the points system or is it a all or nothing situation? Would 10.2 months count as a year? Has anyone had any experience with this being flexible? My points seem to be borderline leaning towards the non-eligible side due to the work experience requirement.
Also, I would try to do a 8-month program in Canada for a masters and settle there (and work there). But I would only be allowed to work 8 months, so I'm guessing my next step would be try to get a skilled worker permit?
Thanks.
