Wonder what program allowed you a 5 year visitor record with WP exemption. The only program I can think of is IMP and that was 120 days from what I remember.Hi I have 5 years experience in canada with a visitors record that says on the bottom work permit exempt. Can i use that as work experience for points on my pr application?

Anyways, to answer your question, if your work experience doesn't fall under 3 of these categories, you can use it.
- you’re a refugee claimant in Canada
- you’re working without authorization
- your work experience was gained without temporary resident status in Canada
So to confirm your response (thank you for taking the time to respond). I was working in clergy and in ontario it says on the bottom of my visa where I was doing my work. I recieved a t4 for my work I can therefore use it towards my pr work experience which is a game changer for me!!!

Thank you. I can get an employment letter from my employer. Where can i see the specific EE requirements? (I am slowly learning the ropes here). You will also need an employment letter. Please review EE requirements for evidence required.

As well other people have told me this won't work since it was not on a closed permit?
Do you have a provincial nomination? Yes, you should be able to use the work experience. Your job probably falls under one of these NOC - 41302(TEER1) or 42204(TEER2).So to confirm your response (thank you for taking the time to respond). Your work experience was acquired under R186 for first 6 years and R205(d) in 7th year. All 7 years are valid canadian work experience for EE considerations provided it was a paid position. The job offer you would use to apply should fall under same NOC though.
And therefore what? Can u please explain?A T4 only shows an employer employee relationship existed though
And therefore what? Can u please explain?
Thank you
Thank you for your response. Does that mean I would not be able to use it?In a nutshell that you were just employed
You could have been remunerated for anything
You are good. It's a paid employment. Google Provincial nomination.Thank you for the response
1. I do not have a provincial nomination. IS there a way to get one?
2. The position was a paid position. The way my employer set it up was part of my salary was given as a stipend (tax free) and the rest was salary with taking off taxes and a t4.
3. Yes the visa for the first 6 years says R186!
