Hello everyone,

I am really confused about the following situation. Hopefully some of you can help me out with this. I received an invitation under FSW on the last draw (april 19th). However, now that I have been reading a lot about how work experience counts I got a little confused. This is my situation.

Jan 2013-end of July 2014 - NOC 4012 (20 hours/week) as Graduate research assistant
August 2014 - last day of June 2015 - NOC 2141 (40 hours/week) Industrial engineer
August 2015 - present - NOC 2141 (50 hrs/week) Industrial field engineer

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the calculation of the points to see it my experience qualify as at least 3 years of work experience. I greatly appreciate your help

Regards,!

By the way, my experience as Graduate Research Assistant was done in the United States. So Hopefully it counts as International work experience

Yes, you have 3 years of experience.

The total amount of hours as a GR is 1520 hours and immidiately after that I started working in a company as an Industrial Engineer. Do you think the GR experience will count?

Given that GRAs are usually appointed on a semester basis (meaning, employment is not 52 weeks per year, but usually for 8-12 weeks every semester), you'd have to indicate how many weeks you actually worked. But if you worked at least one summer semester, then it is pretty certain that you will have enough.
