Hi there,

I am having problems with adding my work experience on my EE. Currently, I have two years full time in NOC 1123 and two years part-time in NOC 4012. My primary occupation is in NOC 1123. When I am adding both my work experiences in these two NOCS, only the first one is giving me points, so I currently only have two years of foreign work experience, instead of 3. This situation is making me lose 12 points and for this reason, I don't have enough points to be selected through the FSW.

My question is: I have a master degree in Canada and I didn't do my WES for my foreign bachelor's degree. Since my part-time experience in NOC 4012 is linked to my time as an undergraduate student, is this the reason why this work experience is not being added? Can someone please me ive me an insight about this.

Thank you.

Okay so you're FSW, you should be able to count work experience gained while studying, even in Canada.
How many hours per week did you work during those 2 years part-time? Remember, you can only claim each additional year of work experience when it amounts to 1560 hours per year. So maybe based on the duration you entered and the hours per week, the system computed that it didn't amount to a full year (1 year = 1560 hours).

For your 2 years of part-time work to count as 1 year, it needs to be between 15h/week and 29h/week. Did you have that?

Thanks for replying. I am applying through FSW and I am counting two years part-time, working 20 hrs per week. I don't know what I can be possibly be doing wrong.

Hmmm... It seems the system doesn't accept your part-time work experience gained while studying in Canada.
Strange, as I know plenty of people have successfully claimed points for such experience.

But all of my work experience was gained OUTSIDE of Canada, so I don't know what is going on. Any suggestions?
