I submitted my reference letter by my supervisor where he mentioned that I worked from March 2015-sept 2017. But he didn’t mention the working hours. So, I requested the university who mentioned the working hours but wrote that I worked from April 2015-September 2017. Will this create a confusion/conflict or lead to misrepresentation? I started working from 17th March.

I would request a new letter with the correct working dates. If you're pressed for time, request a new letter and upload the one you have along with a letter of explanation.

Thanks, will do. Is this by any chance misrepresentation? I don't think 13 days will lead to misrepresentation, but still wanted to know.

It's only misrepresentation if you're trying to hide it from them. If you have a letter explaining everything, you're fine. I would rope in @legalfalcon to confirm as I do not want to give you bad advice.

Please advise if I need to get my jobs and responsibilities letter after getting ITA or I can get this before getting ITA from my current job? I am about to file my application in next 15 days.

It's best to get it after you get your ITA from your current job. It should be as fresh as possible. I got my reference letter on 15th July and submitted everything on 17th July.

@jes_ON your thoughts?

First of all, both letters should have exact dates dd/mm/yyyy not just mm/yyyy.

Of course it will create confusion if they are different. You should try to get the one letter corrected. Otherwise, perhaps there is an explanation - HR letter shows the date of your first pay, maybe, instead of your first day of work? In any case.

Misrepresentation, tho - no. Will that one month difference in any way affect your score, your eligibility? Not likely.

You are right, HR has added the 1st pay day so it’s from April 2015 onwards.

Glad to know there is no misrepresentation. Should I add an LOE explaining this as my supervisor is not responding to my emails to change anything on the reference letter? Or should I wait until I am asked?

I thought it was the other reference letter (from University HR) that is incorrect?

I just found about the whole confusion. My offer letter was from March 2015, therefore my supervisor mentioned March 2015 as the starting date. But I got my 1st pay from 2nd April therefore the HR mentioned the start date as 2nd April.

I am planning to use the webform and send my offer letter or should I wait until they ask about this?
