Hello Everyone,

I am trying to fill out the IMM 5669 and IMM 0008-Schedule 3 forms and I read that I shouldn't keep any gaps in the works experience, not even one month.

I joined my most recent job back on 01 May 01 2011, my last day at the previous company was 30 April 2011, since I can only include the year and month in the form, my work experience looks like this:

From 2011-05 ~ To Present Current job
From 2007-03 ~ To 2011-04 Previous Job

Is this acceptable or will it be identified as a gap? Do I need to set my previous job to end 2011-05 instead of 2011-04?

Thanks,
Sahil

You read wrong. Gaps in education and work history is acceptable (wouldn't make sense otherwise). It is in the personal history section, Question 8 in the 5669 form (where you are asked to list all of your activities in the last 10 years) where there shouldn't be any gap.

Thanks Namaste, you are right, I was mainly referring to Question 8 of form IMM 5669.

So, it is acceptable to write them as follows and it won't be considered as a gap:

From 2011-05 ~ To Present Current job
From 2007-03 ~ To 2011-04 Previous Job

Technically, the end month of one event should be the start month of the other. But in your case, I would leave the dates as is and write the exact date in the description field. For example,

From 2007-03 to 2011-04 Previous job (ended April 31)
