Hi All,

I am working 37.5 hours a week and I have worked full time (1566 hours) and still continue and but if we count by date than I haven't completed a year. If we count by hours I am above the limit. Am I eligible to submit my file in CEC class.

You can only count up to 30 hours per week. Any time beyond the 30 hours should not be counted.
Therefore, you need to have worked for 52 weeks to meet the minimum 1560 hours. (30*52=1560)

In other words for CEC, IRCC only counts the first 30 hours each week.

For instance, if you work 45 or 50 or 37.5 or 30 or 60 hours/week, they are all equivalent.

You have only worked for about 42 weeks, so you are about 2½ months away from actually being eligible for CEC, that is when you complete 52 weeks of work.

Regarding the link you provided, they do mention time and it's a critical factor that you must have worked for at least 1 year.

They mention hours for part-time workers, so they can calculate their full-time equivalence.

Since you are full-time, you simply need to work one year (52 weeks).
