Hello All
I have applied for thesis based masters in a few Canadian universities. I have 6+ years of US experience in my study field. What are my chances of getting an admission?

study gap or work exp. is not depend on your admission.........its depend on your visa.....
 
so ur saying work exp will not help me in getting admission to Canadian university but it will help me with visa?

yes universities give admission on the bases of academic not work experience(expect some cases)
yes work experience will help you with your visa approval and fill up the gap.

If your work is related to the field you are intending to do master's in and if you have explained the technical expertise you have learnt during these 6 years in you statement of purpose and how they relate to your future research then you have a better chance of getting into MS.

However, if your work experience is not relevant then it won't make any positive impact on your case.
 
Yes my selected study field is what my work exp and my under grad education is in. What is the time frame for decisions made? like I have applied for Winter 2013 when do they make decisions roughly for winter term?
