Original as per New Delhi CHC. Now it depends upon your visa office.

Notarized copy of employment contract and experience letter must be original. This is what I understand. Check your local visa office CL.

Islamabad CL says:

WORK EXPERIENCE
For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
• notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers,
accompanied by an English or French translation
• original and up-to-date letters of reference from your past and current employers.
Letters must be written on company letterhead and show the company's full
address, telephone and fax numbers, and be stamped with the company's official seal.

Check your local visa offie CL what it says.

yes I think it's better to check local visa office CL because they apply different documents for different visa posts.

Dear Friends,

For London office, you just have to provide the notarized photocopy of your Work Experience Contracts and Original Reference letters from your past and current employers.
