Hi,

I completed my bachelors (b.com) in September 2017 followed by Mcom in 2019.

My studies got completed late as I had KT's - few subjects which were pending to be cleared.

I have done my ECA through WES for my bachelors and have got it as bachelors.

I have 2 questions :

1) If I complete my ECA for Mcom can I claim for +2 degree points ? Will I get it as Masters ? Which ECA body should I send it to - to get maximum points ?

2) I have been working full time from 2005 :-
a) 1st Job from 2005 - 2010
b) 2nd job from 2010 - 2019
c) Third job from 2019 to present.

So can I claim my work experience for all these years or will it count only after bachelors ?

1) of you get bachelor's degree or diploma equivalency, you can go for two or more degrees options. However, if you get a master's equivalency, you'll go for master's.
Presently, WES is infamous for giving diploma equivalency to Indian master's degrees. IQAS gives it as a master's but the process is looong.
ICES is another known institute which assesses master's as master's in about 3 months' time after recieving all the required documents.

2) all foreign work experience is considered for CRS points, whether you were studying full time along with the job or not. The only factor being it should be equivalent to a NOC 0, A or B according to Canadian rules.

Thanks so much for your reply. So when you say foreign work experience - India's work experience counts - right ? MY NOC is 0124

Foreign work experience means work experience outside Canada.
Anything from outside Canada is foreign for Canadians.

Thanks a ton. One last question. In many forums I see a debate on this questions.
For e.g. many say the work exp. counts prior to gradation. On the other hand, some say that only after completion of bachelors, the work exo. counts. Hence, I want to be double sure on this. Sorry for repeating myself again.

Also, we met one of the consultant and they say that we qualify under 67 points criteria. If we pay her the fees, do you think the story will end at getting 8777 only ? coz they say they provide PNP services also etc. and no need to get higher scores.

I've been doing a lot of reading too. The work experience you have prior to your graduation; if it doesn't require any graduation degree to be eligible, it will count. It is also applicable during graduation.
If you changed your job after graduation, it's fine if it requires a graduate degree or less for qualification. Same applies to master's.

67 points is the minimum eligibility criteria to be considered for any stream of express entry. Below that, the profile automatically give you an ineligible status.
8777 is mandatory to get 25+25 extra points in transferability factor. Check here. It may not be necessary to obtain this score, but without it, the score usually hovers in the range of 395-415, which is not very high. The Ontario PNP has minimum CRS cutoff at about 438-9. Alberta, PEI etc look for specific NOCs that are required by their government structure for economic progress though they conduct draws in the lower range (around 340-390). You cannot be sure if you'll get it. Meanwhile, with 8777, your CRS can go to 450-460, and with last draw at 457, you have a better chance at PR here. Also, you can go to any province in this way.
