Unless they are leopards, cougars, lions or something similar :)

Hee hee, you can still pet them when they're cubs though :)
My sister visited a beach and they had baby lions to pet and play around with them. In her pictures you can see their paws are as big as an adult's hand and they're only like 2 months old :o
Anyway, they're gorgeous, I'm a feline lover!

:o My hubby would have a fit with this. He loves all feline creatures. I know he would love if he got to hold a baby lion. Do they do that regularly there and do you know what beach?

Something tells me that there aren't that many large cats roaming around Canada....but who knows! I would love to hang out with lion and tigers (but maybe not bears)!

Just don't stand in the backwoods at night shouting "here kitty", you may be in for a surprise :)

You should come where I live. Cougars galore ... I stopped running outside they were coming in town so often, attacking people too!

Oh oh I also wanted to walk dogs (cat cuddlers not for me) and I went to Toronto humane society to apply for volunteering last year, but didn't apply because it's too far for me to travel 3 days a week. Also you are supposed to walk them in tha cage outside. Not even walking, you just let them free and they play in that cage for 15min max. ???

I do it with toronto animal services. I take them out for proper walks, length of walk depends on the weather and also the number of dogs that need to go out. Its very rewarding but also sometimes sad as there are horrific cases of animal abuse.
Cat cuddling isnt for me either :)

It was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Although I remember petting a baby lion in one of my trips to Cancun when I was a kid. :)

Does anyone know of a site or place to find volunteer opportunities in Newfoundland?
Also, can we take like say a course if it is shorter than 6 months or would we get in trouble for that?

Hi Loveyoung, I googled it and came up with a few sites but this at least lets you browse by city/area. Hope this helps! :)

So I registered for the volunteer information session at The Stop. It is held next Wednesday. I read about the program and am looking forward to this. Hopefully they will find a spot for me, because as I understood it's a big competition even to volunteer.
And will also try to do volunteering at Toronto animal center. Just need to fill out the form and get two ref.letters.
Thank you Patently-waiting and Pinklady for the links! :-*
