Work as a lawyer in Quebec - Quebec bar/Barreau du Quebec

My wife is an attorney in the United States, and we are moving to Montreal after her permanent residency application is (hopefully) approved. We've looked into applying to the Quebec Bar/Barreau du Quebec for her to practice law in Quebec, and understand the formal requirements and the range of additional education/exams that might be required, but we're wondering what experiences other applicants have had so we can anticipate what might be the typical response to foreign attorneys' applications. Also, how strict is the French language requirement?
