Hi, I an currently enrolled in school in the US and I am on my F-1 visa. I will be starting grad school in canada for the fall semester. When I called my university here in the US to ask about the withdrawal process, I was told that the canadian school needs to provide a transfer form to transfer the SEVIS record. Does anyone have any experience switching from a US to canadian university? Does canada have a SEVIS system as well?

Almost the same situation as mine. Canada does not have a SEVIS system. The international office just asked me to fill out a form indicating at what time I am going to leave the US. So they will terminate the I20. For the university withdrawal it is even simpler, I just do not enroll any course for the fall term and I automatically withdraw.
