Withdrawal of sponsorship

Hello There.


I would Like to know if the way I wrote my letter for withdrawal is decent. I am being sponsored but, I will be withdrawing it as the relationship has broken down and I dont see a future for me in Canada at this point of my life.

Reason for withdrawal:
I, ********, the person being sponsored will be withdrawing my application for sponsorship. The reason for this is due to an unexpected break down of marriage and discovering that we, ****** and I, are at two different parts of our lives. I also don’t see a future for me in Canada at this point. We are in the process of getting a divorce, and I have already booked my flight back to South Africa on the 27th of May 2015.


Any feedback will be greatly appreciated =)

the person sponsoring you should withdraw the app for sponsorship, you as you are the one being sponsored can withdraw the PR app if your (ex)sponsor won't withdraw the sponsorship.

I was told, it would be better for me to withdraw my application, as it will look better for me incase I want to come back to Canada in the future. As it is never good to close doors behind you. Not to nessesarly get married again, but to come back and visit as I have met some great people and also would like to come back to cycle accross Canada for charity.

yes, agreed. go ahead with your plans to withdraw. if you don't then if the sponsor's application hasn't been processed yet, it can still be sent to the visa office and you can possibly lose out on some refund. do not solely rely on the sponsor for doing the right thing when it comes to your life on your own. if he ends up doing it, great. if not, at least you know you're covered on your end. do what you know you need to do. best of luck!
