April 18, 2012 - Submitted docs to MPNP
September 12, 2012 - Date of letter of approval from MPNP
Nov 26, 2012 - Received letter of approval from MPNP
Dec 10, 2012 - Submitted application package to CIO, Nova Scotia
January 26, 2013 - Received via email AOR and confirmation from CIO ( with Official receipt num)
February 26, 2013 - Received via email from Embassy Manila a Medical request and RPRF
March 11, 2013- Medical's done
March 27,2013- ECAS We started processing your application March 27, 2013
May 3,2013- Medical result sent to CEM by St Lukes
May 10, 2013-ECAS- Medical result have been received

can u tell us in which stream u applied ??

hello ...m new on ur page....i search a lot n ask so many times only question about how to apply n should i prefer to aplly by consultancy or by own (online)... here is my timeline :-

m from india
diploma in nautical science (1 year)
ryt now i am third officer in merchant navy..
experience 2 and half year...
ielts -not given
financially strong
friend-winnipeg
check point system on manitoba site -scored 60 pt
plan to aplly in nov.


plz tell me processing time to get LOA from manitoba ??
is this program suitable for me n how much time it takes full timing from apply to PR??

i need ur advice n it will be great help....thnks

Hello House, I thank you for such a thread and I love the fact that's dedicated to those who wants Winnipeg as their preferred destination.

I am highly interested at applying, I noticed that you guyz are quite conversant with the whole process. I am new and I am even yet to Write the IELTS test which I intend to write this month. But before I do, I would like to know if I am qualified to go ahead.

1. I am a Nigerian,
2. I studied Marketing (B.sc)
3. I work as a brand developer in a good registered firm (3yrs work experience)
4. My salary is given to me as Cheque so my account fluctuates and it's not well built, but can I provide a My step Mom financial statement, since she shares the same surname with me? But I can build a good account/financial statement before the period of LOA if its not compulsory to submit the financial strength along with the application (pls is it)
5. I have strong ties to Manitoba, a friend though not so close to me but close to my best friend is ready to be my sponsor (He was like provided it doesn't involve any form of risk) is it possible for me to view the way my form and his form would be like?
6. What's my chances for success? Don't wanna invest in vain!

Kudos to you guys for the information in this forum.
I have a distant friend in winnipeg, we are not too close thats what I mean, I had an intention of requesting for an exploratory visit but unfortunately, the exploratory visit programme was put on hold before my IELTS result came out so I could not apply. Does anyone here know when the programme is likely to re-open or any other channel to immigrating to Manitoba without a job offer even without close friend or relative within the province.

I am new to forum and applied for MPNP. Can anyone tell that If someone's MPNP nomination case got REJECTED by Manitoba Govt. If yes, WHAT were the reasons?

If a friend will endorse your settlement plan you will fall under gereral stream. Processing time for general stream a few months longer than family stream. Re PR it will all depends on the the of MR result and the VO that will issue your visa.

Re financial statement you have to submit a bank certificate and a bank statement at least 6 mos under your name.

You will be under general stream and make a good and convincing settlement plan. Your friend will also be given a copy of your settlement plan before he/she can submit his settlement plan2.

I think they can only reject your application if did not meet the requirements and weak settlement plan.

Yes, it is bacause you have to prove that while establishing your self you have enough funds while looking for a job. 10k for principal applicant and add'l 2k for every dependent.

But it's so funny that I have to showcase a financial standing of about 10k dolls for a process that would still take about 6Months before selection and anoda 6months for Visa processing and Medicals..

Which means that apart from my language test, I still have to spend anoda 6months building an healthy Financial statement.

Well that's the rule my friend you have to assure them that you have enough funds to sustain your daily needs, accommodation, etc.,while establishing your self.

Hello everyone! Thank you for sharing your experiences...

I am planning to send my application this month, do I need to complete the IELTS before I send the application?

A friend will sponsor me for MPNP, I have a previous application yr 2006 which was returned to us due backlogs and the new rules of Federal Skilled worker so we were asked to re-apply again but this time I will apply for MPNP do you think that would affect my application as provincial nominee?
