thanks tabs.

For my experience, from the time I send my documents (thru fedEx) to CIO , it took me 62 days before I got my AOR-CIO.

Based on the tracking sheet it normally ranges from 55 - 64 days...

Hi tabs..I just took my mr last October 8, I called slec earlier for follow-up and they told me that it will take them 2-3weeks to submit the results to cem...I will call again next week and I am hoping that I will hear good news from them...about slec, when we got there me and my wife were the first 2 applicants for Canada. But after we filled up the necessary forms, there is no numbering anymore and you will be mixed up with other applicants(Canada, USA, australia etc). That is the reason why it took us 6-7 hours to complete...make sure you eat heavy breakfast because they will not allow food inside the clinic only bottled water..steps were easy but you really have to wait and be patient...in addition, the name and address of your sponsor will be needed in the form they will provide you so make sure you have it already before going to slec...

Thanks for sharing. I heard that IOM really provides a relaxing environment because it is by appointment basis and it is only for Canadian applicants. But they were slower in providing the results (2-3 weeks) but it appears it not as much different to SLEC. I still have time to decide. Will decide then.

I will..we will also try to do pre-medical today. urinalysis and possibly blood chem... it is Martial Law today until next week in our house...

Strictly no drinking of soda, ice tea, etc.. only mineral water and fresh milk, hehehehe.. :P

SLEC global city is also affiliated....lesser lines because no Medical for US here...we arrived 9am finished by 11 am...

I had my medical in IOM. The results were fast as we have direct contact with our doctor. We got to know the results and when they submitted it to VO.

However, the queue was a bit long especially x-ray. The x-ray exams for seafarers are taken simultaneously with the applicants of Canada and UK.

Before going there, make sure you check your bp. The required is 120/80. If it's high, drink pineapple juice in can. Drink two! :)

For x-ray, breathe deeply to make sure the results are clear or else you will take APL x-ray. If abnormal still, sputum test.

Goodluck! :)

wow! thank you for all the sharing.

* I will also try to consider St Lukes global
* IOM is also good.

ALthough, I am confident that i will get 120/80.

But if I get more than 120/80 bp, i heard that the doctors will ask you to look for a cardiologist and take an ECG and 2D echo to prove that you dont have any heart ailment?

i already have the result of both of this testing since it was asked from me last march2013 because of different issue. To cut the story short, will this test result be considered or i need to conduct another re testing?
