Accounting Analyst (Inventory)
WIND Mobile- Toronto, Canada Area
Job Description
Accountabilities:
• Perform account reconciliation activities of Inventory and COGS accounts as assigned
• Execute the required Month End Processing steps according to established closing calendar deadlines
• Perform the reconciliations for all levels of returned inventory in a Reverse Logistic processes and provide analysis on revaluations of the inventory
• Oversee the Cycle Counts and report monthly on the results for warehouse and around 100 POS
• Maintain accuracy of inventory accruals. Partner with accounts payable and purchasing departments to ensure that all transactions are accounted for. Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Using Oracle and other tools, maintains the data integrity of all inventory levels to ensure the interface transactional errors are corrected. Communicate with Logistic group to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely manner
• Prepare accrual schedules on a monthly basis for inventory related accounts. Perform aging analysis of inventory
• Perform analysis and participate in required audit procedures on a quarterly basis
• Provide support and contribute to business process optimization initiatives to the enterprise system by performing integration testing for to be implemented solutions
• Participate in all continuous improvement initiates related to inventory and to perform the other tasks as required
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
• Inventory field experience min 2-3 years, preferable in a large retail or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding on transactional level of inventory movements.
• Experience in Cycle Counts process and Reverse Logistics
• Strong reconciliation skills
• 4 year undergraduate degree in Accounting
• Enrollment in CMA, CGA is preferable
• Strong logical and analyzing skills and above average MS Excel skills
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Good communications and team skills
• Well organized, focus on precision and detail; flexibility and high capacity to adapt according to the urgency of situation
• Ability to work overtime at month end or weekend, if required
