Will you get refused to sponsor if you're currently unemployed?

My husband is currently a student and living with his family.
We are not planning on living on our own together till he is done with school. Will this effect his application to sponsor me being unemployed? Help!

Your husband can sponsor you as a student.

To qualify as a sponsor from a financial standpoint, he can't be on social assistance (welfare) and can't be bankrupt. Those are the only two requirements.
