Hi All,
My wife is a working as contract engg for nearly 4 yrs. She draws a salary of nearly Rs:10,200/- monthly (paid in cash, not as cheque).

She is applying for a student visa this week. As she is exempted from tax we do not have any Form 16 or ITR with us. How can we prove this??

Well, she has her work experience letter and also payslips which will help her to prove that the experience is not fake.Do I still need to produce any Form 16 or ITR papers for a student visa??

Please clear my doubt.

Regards,
Abhi.

Hello ,

If your wife is going on her own expense then it is mandatory to show ITR of atleast rs 3.5 Lacs. This is what I have been told by my consultant.

if your wife is applying under SPP then no need to submit ITR. If you are submitting under general then you should submit all documents

Thanks for the replies brothers!!!

We have taken a loan of 12 lacs from one bank and 4 lacs from another (without colatteral security) which is a good 3 lakhs more than the funds required.

She is excempt from tax so that the reason we cannot produce the FORM 16 or ITR

We are applying under the university category not SPP.

If am supporting my wife here so can I show my ITR and payslips??

Regard,
Abhi.

yeah thats the best option.

The problem here is that she works in govt sector and they give only FORM 16 to permanent employees not contracted once.

THIS IS THE MAIN REASON FOR NOT PRODUCING FORM 16, Can we state this to the VO in the covering letter??

Hi,

The submission of Form 16/ITR is NOT must under General category. In my own case, I put off nothing like a Form 16/ITR. You should submit your wife individual account details. You can also submit your own ITR/Form 16. It’s academic profile and prospective course selection which makes all difference.

Hi Enfield,
Brother I must tell u, that I was waiting for ur reply.

Well, as far as my wife's course selection .......it is Masters in Electronics which is not a mismatch, as she has done her Btech in Electrical & Electronics Engg.

The loan taken by us is 16 lacs i.e 12lacs (Canara Bank) + 4 lacs (HDFC Bank).
which is much more than required. And I am also paying the 1st semester fees.

Regards,
Abhi.
