Will there be any problem if i renew my passport ?

Hi,

My passport is going to get expired in Aug 2017. I have applied for a co-op work permit. Can i renew my passport so that if i apply for a work permit after my graduation which is this year aug, i should not get for less years because my passport is going to get expired. Should i apply for passport renewal after i get my coop work permit. or can i do it now itself.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately you cannot renew your passport so early. As far as I know you can renew only if the passport expire in an years time. Yours going to expire in August 2017. When do you graduate?
