Hi All,

I got my AINP nomination. and waiting for FBI fingerprint result before i send application to CIC. Can someone throw some light on this in providing information if disability become a matter in getting PR to canada.

Woking in US from 5 years on H1b as DBA, got my AINP nomination and did read some articles stating that CIC will reject application if the applicant is disabled. My left leg is affected with polio when i was kid. Please advice if you know any info on this ?

Thanks

I think it also depends on your nature of work. If it is physically demanding then there's a probability that you'll be rejected. On the otherhand, if the work is more on computer jobs, R&D and office type jobs I can see no problem to refuse your application and later on denied.

They could deny your application if they conclude that your disability will cause too much stress on Canadian health care or that it is a danger to public safety. I believe that does not apply to your case so you do not have to worry.

Hi ,
Thanks for bringing your case into forums, I am also like you, exact problem, my left leg is affected by polio, when I was in age of one, In my medicals the doctor asked me the same reason and they mentioned details like the operations done for my leg. Thanks again, please keep on posted if anything knows from CIC

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. I got strength by reading his post that he was granted with Canadian PR despite of having disability due to polio. My friend's spouse has almost similar case like him. I hope ,She will also be able to grab PR.
Wish you all the best for new life in Canada.

Hi,

I am in process to submit application under FSW shortly but my mind is preoccupied thinking that I will not be considered for further processing of my file If I reveal my information about disability on Schedule A 'Background /Declaration form'. A form has this question: Had any serious disease or physical or mental disorder? Yes or No.
Seniors plz. confirm me what should I do here? What happens if I am rejected because I provide this information right now and if they do not forward my application for further processing? I am sure that some of the applicants with almost similar disorder already got PR .

Anyone been in this situation plz. comment on this.

Already in Canada
They can reject your application on medical grounds only if you put excessive demand on Canadian health care and you pose any threat to Canadian citizens or residents. This rejection grounds don't apply in your case, so don't worry about it brother :) good luck
