will spousal sponsorship cancel a student visa

hello,
I am getting married to an international student in 9 days. he is here on a student visa from bangladesh.
he has no history of visa refusals, he has been here since january 2017. we have been together for three months and marrying in 9 days from now.
If our sponsorship is refused then will the also cancel his student visa, or can he stay here as a student.
