Will postdoc with one year offer letter Get additional points under new changes

Hello all,

I would like to know that will postdoc get more points after new changes as it is a highly skilled work. I have one year offer letter and currently working in Canada. Will I get more points?

Do you have a LMIA? or a work permit with your employer's name on it?

If not then you won't receive any extra points.

Postdoctoral fellow positions are exempt from LIMA. Yes, My employer name is on my work permit. Do I get additional points?

You'll get points IF "the foreign national works for that employer and has accumulated at least one year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, over a continuous period of work for that employer"

And you also need to remember that you need to work for a full year for that employer AFTER obtaining PR.
