I applied for study visa from outside Canada on 4 may.
Biometric completed 7 may and review eligibility started on 20 may.

I wrote this in my SOP "I believe that after completion of my studies, I will also be able to start a successful career in the field of my expertise in Canada. Moreover, a degree obtained from a Canadian university can also open new avenues of success anywhere in the world especially in Gulf states where my father has already been serving"

I did not know that I am not suppose to write this. Now I've already filed my visa and can't undo it. Is it confirmed now that my visa will be rejected or should I keep the hopes? I don't want "fake hopes" so please be honest with what you think will happen now?

Yes, it's pretty bad. You are not supposed to state your intention of working in Canada

Thank you for your honest reply. It's okay. I'm considering re-applying once I receive the final decision of the already filed application.

Approval or refusal depends on the overall profile of the applicant. As a temporary resident applicant, Canadian law allows for dual intent. However, the VO must be convinced that you will depart Canada once you complete your studies and will abide by the conditions of your visa.
I believe what I mentioned in my SOP regarding could lead to visa rejection as it will increase VO's doubts of my overstay in canada. What do you think after reading my statement?

dude you made another thread hehe
As said in the previous thread -

chill mate, It's a visa and it's always a 50/50 game across all visas all around the world. If this gets rejected you'd reapply, you know it, we know it and the Visa Officer know it as well

And do you have any idea how long does it take to review eligibility in case of a rejection? My review of eligibility started on 20 MAY.

I have no idea about the Canadian study permit and it's revew of eligibility now, and let's not forget there's a pandemic running on the background. I have applied for a student permit back in 2015, I got the visa but I didn't go. instead I went somewhere else. Since this is just a student visa there ain't anything complex.

I've paid my one year tution fee and 10,000CAD GIC. I wonder how long and hectic would it be to get all those funds back after my visa gets rejected

bruh why thinking about rejection. if you have good profile and application. VO will overlook that. at least u were honest. if you are young then they will prob overlook that. but to be honest, it depends on the rest of your documents and statment. if everything else was good and convincing then you should be fine. stay positive.

This is the one instance where you actually pray that the VO doesn't read your SOP :D.

What you've said in your SOP is a big no-no, but let's hope it doesn't affect you. If your application is strong overall perhaps the VO will ignore this epic fail. They know most people that apply are planning to stay post study. It's just the "elephant in the room" that everyone pretend is not there :) .

yes everyone knows it, they know 99% of students who apply for study permit want pr lmao. At least he was honest. it's also called dual intent. as long they show strong intent to study then work not use study permit as way to immigrate. he mentioned about his ties to gulf countries. this could be good but again it depends on visa officer :DD

Thanks for the positive response. Hope it gets overlooked. Let's see.
