Hi there. I was hoping someone will be able to help. I was reading another post and its got me all confused now. Were sending in our application at the end of this month, first week of February. Im a Canadian citizen by birth and my partner is Scottish. I am currently 5 months pregnant and our baby boy will be born at the end of May in Scotland. After the baby is born I will be sending a copy of his birth certificate to CIC and I will also explain that im in the process of applying for his Canadian certificate which we be send out right after he is born. My question is will our common law application still go forward as normal or will it be delayed until they receive my boys certificate. It will take about 9 months for me to get his certificate and then send that off to CIC. Are they still going to issue my partner is PR because they know my boy is Canadian and I dont have to include him in our application. Thank you.
