Will It be a Wise decesion to apply for VISA in JAN for the MAY intake?

I want to apply for the VISA in JAN 2012 for the MAY intake....Is it too early?....Is ther any disadvantages if I apply 3 months before?

Hi,

For the May 2012 session, the Canadian High Commission will start accepting application from February 01, 2012 onwards. Effective this date, it's absolutely fine to apply for your VISA.
