Will IRCC remove my ex-spouse from PR application?

My ex-spouse has a pending criminal charge and our PR application is currently still in process. Was informed by IRCC that they will wait for the outcome of his criminal charge. My questions are:

1. Will they remove him from my PR application if I submit a divorce petition (1st stage of divorce) to them?
2. Are they going to wait for the divorce outcome before they update the status of my application?

When he became your ex and you two had no intention to live together, you didn't inform IRCC of the status change?

Regardless, you should inform IRCC that you don't intend to keep him in your application as you are intending to separate. Not sure if you are inland or outland, but depending on where you are, check threads on docs that you might be asked to show that prove the separation.

Hi, we are here in Canada. I have submitted our legal separation back in Nov 2024 and I just submitted our divorce petition yesterday. I notify IRCC about the changes in marital status.
