Hi all

I am an international student in Canada and have recently completed my post graduation certificate program. I have applied for a PGWP. As of today I have been in Canada for 1 year. My course duration was 9 months and I am expecting a 9 month or 12 month PGWP. In case I get a 12 month work permit and obtain 12 months of work experience in a NOC Job level B will I be eligible for the CEC program. I found this on the CIC website "obtained the required work experience within the 36 months preceding the date their application is received," .
Does this mean I must have stayed in Canada 3 years before I apply for the CEC?

Thank you for any information or help

It means your qualifying work experience in skilled position cannot be more then 3 years old.

You are eligible if you have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply and have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization.

You are welcome.
