Will I lose my PR status when I get a PRTD?

I'm just wondering if I will lose my PR status when I get my PRTD to return to canada? Or is this prtd just to get me back home

If anything, getting approved for a PRTD means you’re still recognized as a PR. If your PRTD application is denied, that’s when you have to worry.
