Will I be eligible?

Hi all,

I have almost 4 years of experience in IT and have a masters degree in engineering and one year UK experience. I don't have any job offer in Canada. I'll take IELTS and try to get good score (above 8 ). Will I be eligible with all these? I'm 26 years old and single. I tried some unofficial calculator and points came as 456.

You'll most likely be eligible to apply. Whether you'll have enough points to actually be selected is an entirely different matter.

I think maximum I can go for is 456 points since I don't have canada work experience or any degree.

In recent months only those with more than 480 points have been selected under FSW / Express Entry. You should look into the Provincial Nomination programs.

There's no wiki. Best resource is the CIC web site. If you haven't done so already, plan to spend a few days reading through all of the information there: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp
