Hi,

I have a masters degree from an university in USA. I was expelled during my phd studies. Will this affect my application.

I can't talk about the reasons of my expulsion as it was something I had no control over.

Do not mention about PHD to IRCC. Just submit docs for Masters degree. Simple.

It won't matter. You'll get points for the completed Masters, but they won't care about the unfinished PhD. I assume the transcripts do not indicate you were expelled, or if they do, it would be very clear that your Masters was conferred.

My transcripts do indictate I was expelled and it has a column stating degrees conferred while ch states masters. My degree certificate clearly indicates I completed my degree

What are you referring to transcripts here???

Is it written on your Detailed Mark Sheet or Degree of Masters?
How come they print expulsion from PhD on a Masters Degree?
PhD is always enrolled post Masters degree? isn't?

Transcripts is a detailed marksheet.

they don't print on a degree they print it on tramscripts. As for any US university they will provide a transcript of all courses attended irrespective of whether it wass masters of phd.

Well we have an option to request transcripts for selected courses also due to which such problem never arises.
For your case, i do not think WES will raise any question. While creating your WES account, only select Masters credentials.

They will only evaluate Masters then.
