Need advice please.

My husband has a work permit and is already working in Canada. His employer suggested that I apply for SOWP and my children for STUDY permits.
We already have existing TRV still good for 10 yrs(for me) and 3 years for my children. Is it true that If I apply for SOWP and STUDY Permit our TRVs will be invalidated?
