Hi friends,
as I am waiting for my Open Work Permit, I am working on my French skills.
I would be able to take the DELF B2 or even C1 test in a month or so...
I live in Ottawa and English-French bilingualism is an asset for many jobs, if I am to believe the job descriptions and what people say.
Do you think it would make a difference on my CV or is it a waste of money and effort?
I worked in a public service and in an accounting position in my home country, and I studied business and political science, so I guess my job market is the one where bilingualism is a strong asset.
I know there is the TEF test, but I personally would prefer being able to obtain a certificate for a concrete language proficiency level than a score. I don't need it for immigration purposes, since I am being sponsored by my husband.
Thank you and have some nice spring holidays
