Hello,

so this is the current situation my family is currently in. I got married to my wife some years ago and have submitted application for sponsorship. During the process of application, my wife gave birth to our now 7 month old son.

As I am a first generation Canadian citizen by immigration my son is automatically entitled to be a Canadian citizen and thus I have filed for a citizen certificate on his behalf.

My wife and son lives in the P.R.C and only recently, my wife was notified that she has been approved for her visa to Canada. So my question is how do i go about to bring my son to Canada with my wife. My son's Canadian Certificate has not finished processing and thus does not have a passport.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and Thank you.

Contact the embassy where your wife lives and explain the situation to them. If you can send them proof that you have applied for a citizenship certificate, they should be able to issue him a temporary passport.

Thank you for information. I have contacted them and now in the process of getting a temp passport for my son. Thank you.
