Hello any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I applied for my wife in March 2015. File is currentyl with New Delhi visa office.
We notified cic, regarding the pregnancy as soon as we were aware. My wife just delivered our baby boy in india. He will get citizenship as I am canadian citizen. ( I confirmed this)

What is the quickest way to have the baby and my wife join me in Canada. Will this delay her process?
Do I include the baby as a dependent to my wife?
I understand I have to have canadian citizen proof in order to get Canadian passport for my baby but this takes around a year. Is there still limited validity passport? Someone mentioned it is no longer available?

Any help. Thank you in advance .

Notify CIC of the birth immediately. Here's the link to update a New Delhi application:

As far as I know, it shouldn't delay the PR application. They'll update the file, and you don't need to sponsor him because he's automatically Canadian. Are you sure it takes a year to get proof of citizenship? According to the website, the processing times are only 5 months

Oh and, congratulations! :D

Thank you , I will be doing that. Looking for someone to help ? Any one had similar situation?

Thanks

The birth will have no effect on her PR app.

No, you don't include the baby. As said above, inform NDVO of the birth.

You can apply for the proof of citizenship and a limited validity passport concurrently.

Aren't they suppose to give CIC an updated family form listing the child. Yes the child does not need to sponsored, however wouldn't landing without children listed in their PR application, Canadian or otherwise, be considered misrepresentation.

If the child is already Canadian it really wouldn't be an issue.

Though yes to be safe they can always send in an updated Additional Family info doc along with any proof of Canadian citizenship docs they will send anyways.

As I already said, they need to inform NDVO of the birth. If NDVO wants any other information, like updated forms, they will request it.

Yes, this is the correct procedure, just inform the VO. In our case the Singapore VO asked us to send in the baby's translated birth certificate.

You can apply for the baby's citizenship once you have all the paperwork, after you apply for the citizenship, you can apply for temporary passport for your baby right away without waiting for the citizenship papers to arrive.

Having the baby will not delay your wife's process for getting PR.
