Hi guys,

My wife's first name on passport is <First Name> EP <My First Name> <My Last Name>. All her degrees and IELTS results are made with <First Name> only without the EP and my name. I think it is some kind of french system of passports? Anyway will this be a problem for me? in my profile I included the EP in her first name. Thanks.

Should not be a problem. Get a notarised affidavit from your wife stating all the different variations of the name and state that they belong to the same person i.e. your wife. That should be enough.

It is never a problem. I had 4 middle names not mentioned in most of documents because in Egypt the system in patronymic (states names of consecutive fathers). Now to be sure, she can make a legal affidavit that she is the same person.

Do I HAVE to make the affidavit, or you're saying it is safer to do it. Did you do it?

I never did it, but my docs always stated my birth of date and most of the time had my address on them.
