Hi
I submitted my PR application in January. Background Check changed to In Progress and then Not applicable. It went to NA 2 weeks ago.
Now I received a message from CIC asking for me and my husband's Cv as well as a form asking about our fields of study, all thesis and supervisors that we hav had and list of publications.

Is this normal to be asked at this stage?
Anyone with a similar experience?

What is your NOC? Is there anything you claimed that would lead CIC to request this info?

My NOC is 4011. I did two postdocs. I can convince myself that they need my list of publications as I claimed that I did research as a postdoc and one of my duties was publication.

But field of study and thesis are about my "studies" not job/NOC.
Also they are asking the exact same thing about my husband. We did not get points for my husbands work experience.

I am wondering if they asked anyone else for this.

Hi Samanta. I was wondering what you did with the requested CV and what was the outcome. I just got an email from CIC requesting the same information.

looks like security check. similar kind of check is with US visa when you applied from canada and belong to certain countries and the field of study is particular

I've been asked for this too together with my CV & Sch.A, I replied for most fields with Not Applicable, since my past studies didn't include any thesis, and no planned studies for the future until now, strangely, it included also a question for how I plan to fund my studies and what will I do when I go back to home country after completing my studies!! I replied that my application is PR as a skilled worker and don't plan to go back

Hi, I also received the request for CV, schedule A and the details of my previous supervisors, the field of studies, etc. Unfortunately, I have not been in contact with 2 of my supervisors for the last 4,5 years. Does CIC contact them to confirm about me or is it just a formality? Should I try to contact my supervisors beforehand to let them know about this? Any insights would be great.

Why are they asking for thesis and supervisors, are they not convinced by WES-ECA etc.
Is this verification for you Experience or Education? What if a person is no longer in touch with supervisors?

And can all of you please mention your Highest level of education and NOC's Please. Worried.

Dis they accepted your answers and You got through?

Thanks for replying, please keep us updated here.
Do you have any idea why they ask for this information in some cases?

Wish you all the best.
It's clearly a mistake as it's only applicable to student visa

I believe all of this is related to a security assessment of your profile. Postdoc candidates usually travel/work extensively based on their field of study etc. With their request of Schedule A, they want to make sure your story checks out!! There maybe additional screening if you've worked for governmental agencies or other sensitive employers.

Just give them what they want and you shouldn't have any issues. Might take a few extra days, but nothing more unless they find security concerns.

Okay so this is not to verifiy your education or experience?
