Why IMM008 form update date on CIC changed from July to June 2014?Will I reject?

Hi bro,

I submitted my application in mid June to my lawyer to sign off and then delivered to cic on June 26. I remembered the Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] was updated in 1x June (I forgot) but I m sure it's the time the package is on the way to my lawyer in Canada. During that time quite a lots of applicants wondered whether they should use the old form or new form. But since the form was dated on July 2014 on the site, we assumed the old form can still be fine as long as it was delivered to cic before July 1.

However today I went to check Cic form package link and the IMM 008 has been revised to "June 2014"!!!!! It's so not fair as it was originally stated as July 2014 so we assume it's still fine as long as it is received by June 30!

What should I do now? Will I go rejected? There's still a long way till my application got charged. Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

Hi crewbunk, i have the same issue. I had sent my application on August 4th, and i just recently realised that i have used the generic application form that i had downloaded around 2nd week of June, it could have been 3rd week as well.

I am not sure if this will be a reason of rejection. I know use of old Schedule 3 form resulted in rejections last year, but that was because there were lots of changes in that form. Can some one from previous FSW 2013 forum faced similar issue (with generic application form) and have sailed through?
