Why do we need to show 10th and 12th certifacates? They ask most recent qualific

Hi All,

I read many people submitting their 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates along with their applicatio. While the SPP check list clearly says most recent qualification. It also says dont submit any additional documents. Can any one guide?

its ur choice if u want to submit previous certifactes or just want ot attach recent diploma/degree
form my view u should have to submit all educational certificates for good impression on visa officer..

Mark sheets or transcripts? What if mark sheets are not available but transcripts are?

So if your university issues only transcripts and not mark sheets, you only send the final certificate and nothing else?

Buddy why u gettin confused , in reality there is no diff between a transcript nd marks card , in west they don't use the term marks card ! In India transcripts r sumthin which u request a uni nd they will give that in sealed envelopes !! U can use whatever u have which shows ur marks semester wise and degree !!!

There's no problem to add extra documents, Good grades in earlier years will make a good impression . . .

In India transcripts r sumthin which u request a uni nd they will give that in sealed envelopes !! U can use whatever u have which shows ur marks semester wise and degree !!!

Mark sheets are semester-wise. Transcripts usually cover the entire time spent at that university. For e.g. if you completed a bachelor's degree in engineering but also took 2-3 French/Spanish classes, your engineering mark sheets will show only your engineering classes but your transcripts will show all classes you'd taken with that university. Transcripts also show academic standing while mark sheets usually don't.
