Can an application be returned after aor 1 and sa, medical and bil? Why is it called aor 2.

i read elsewhere aor2 is basically saying approved approved approved. After biometrics and medical you can be denied because of criminal background or if your health is not the best (they don't want persons they have to take care of).

anyways this is what i read.

Ah, I already passed as a sponsor have no criminal record nor does my wife. Thanks for the info

I think basically to differentiate it from AOR1, 1 is when Sydney starts working on it, 2 is when the VO it is sent to starts working on it.

other post says that its when the VO receives the package and the applicant get AOR2.
its like filling in blanks as you go along lol

from talking to reps when my app was lost this is what i gather aor 1 and sponsorship approval means everything is there and you are allowed to sponsor. when is goes to VO there is where the applicant is checked out (to see if there is any record in their home country) i believe it cant be returned but just denied if anything incriminating is found but i am not 100% (this is the idea the rep gave me)

Yah. My understanding is once sa approved, sa amd bil and medical. Than its just background check.and evaluating if marriage is genuine.

Also read that "AOR2 is only an update on when they start processing your file after transfer. "
I've never heard of an application being returned as incomplete after AOR1 (or generally referred as AOR).
From that point on, they will only request additional or update of forms and documents. They will not return it.

After you're notified of file transfer ( AOR2 ) and they start processing in the local visa office. IRCC will look close at
the country specific items and likely request some additional documents. If there are any ' red flags ' be prepared
to be called in for an interview,
